Oh my – project photos are long over due. I seemed to have missed posting photos of making the teardrop bags. I just wrapped up a leather dufflebag today and want to share some of the photos of its making. The first photo below shows the dufflebag sides after the pockets, zippers and handles are already sewn on. The photo on the right was taken just after I finished sewing all the leather pieces together. At this point it is ready to complete sewing the lining and then turning right side out. Take a look at the product to see how this turned out!
Looks like I am overdue for an update. Laurie’s project bag with Peacock blues is completed and posted for sale. I am now working on another copy of Laurie’s project back with more traditional design. In between the last post and now though we had a few holidays and other projects. I just completed a chair re-upholstery project (leather of course). This turned out very nice! I will post a few photos of the chair.
Here is some of the work in progress. The first photo shows the base chair and old shell on top of the hide I used to complete the project. Other photos show work in progress.
I am now working on another version of Laurie’s project bag. The peacock is looking pretty good.
Work progresses forward. I am working on some light bags with the leather I found in a lovely shade of blue. Here is some of the work in progress. These photos are all part of TS vertical bag which is for sale on the website now.
Very good website you have here but I was wondering if you knew of any forums that cover the same topics talked about here? I’d really like to be a part of online community where I can get feedback from other knowledgeable people that share the same interest. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. Many thanks!
https://leatherworker.net is a wonderful trove of information.
There are numerous facebook groups covering leather work as well.
This design is incredible! You certainly know how to keep a reader amused. Between your wit and your videos, I was almost moved to start my own blog (well, almost…HaHa!) Great job. I really enjoyed what you had to say, and more than that, how you presented it. Too cool!
There is evidently a bundle to know about this. I believe you made some nice points in features also.
