I enjoy working with leather. I enjoy trying new things as well. Sometimes I get an idea and I can not wait to put it on leather. Sometimes I get an idea and it needs time to develop – and it will be 6 months, 8 months or a year before I am ready to put it on leather (there is one idea still running through my mind – but it isn’t ready to come out yet).
Someone once suggested that you should only keep things that are useful or that you find beautiful. I figure why shouldn’t the things we use – also be beautiful? Tooling, stamping, embossing items in leather make useful items beautiful. When you dictate a custom design, or color, or specific leather – it also becomes unique. Uniquely yours!
I gained an interest in leatherwork from my grandfather at a young age. Over the years I made gifts for his children and family members. In 2018 I formed DM Custom Leather LLC so I could spend more time making leather goods and sharing them with a wider audience. I love to customize products to meet my customer wants and interests.
